Air Fryer Ravioli

Submitted by: MOSS TERRELL, Youth Cook featured recipe

I made this recipe for my parents as part of an at-home dinner date that I and my brother Miles prepared as a Christmas gift. We created a 4-course meal, along with a handmade menu my little brother drew. Doing an at-home dinner was fun for everyone in my family. Miles helped set the table and make everything look nice. He was also the server, my dog provided entertainment, and I made all the food. The occasion was especially fun for my parents who haven’t been to a real restaurant for a very long time. Out of all the recipes, this was my family’s favorite, since then we have made this recipe multiple times. Air-fryer ravioli is just such delicious food, that I think everyone should try. It is super easy to make, and it is something that can easily be made fancier. It requires very little time, effort, and ingredients, but it is still a delicious food. Air-fryer ravioli is also a recipe that you can have fun with. It’s very easy to just use a different type of ravioli or cheese. Or you could make your own special sauce for dipping!

Air Fryer Ravioli

1 - 1 1/2 dozen (12-18 raviolis)

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup seasoned breadcrumbs

  • ¼ cup shredded parmesan cheese

  • 2 teaspoons dried basil

  • ½ cup all-purpose flour

  • 2 large eggs, lightly beaten

  • 1 package (9 ounces) beef ravioli, thawed

  • Cooking spray

  • Fresh minced basil

  • 1 cup marinara sauce, warmed

Instructions:

Preheat air fryer to 350°. In a shallow bowl, mix breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, and basil. Place flour and eggs in separate shallow bowls. Dip ravioli in flour to coat both sides; shake off excess. Dip in eggs, then in crumb mixture, patting to help coating adhere.

In batches, arrange ravioli in a single layer on a greased tray in the air-fryer basket; spritz with cooking spray. Cook until golden brown, 3-4 minutes. Turn; spritz with cooking spray. Cook until golden brown, 3-4 minutes longer. If desired, immediately sprinkle with basil and additional Parmesan cheese. Serve warm with marinara sauce.
